another (yellow) brick in the (road) wall

new hampshire's governor has agreed to sign the state's gay marriage bill, providing language protecting religious institutions and organizations is added.

new york's senate will vote soon on the same-sex marriage bill passed tuesday by the state assembly. at present count, there are not enough votes for it to pass. nate silver puts odds of passage of the ny bill at about 3-1 against.

time is of the essence, and andrew sullivan has graciously provided a list of state senators who are still undecided, with phone numbers and email addresses. your email or phone call urging them to back marriage equality could make a real difference. sullivan sums up:
"Imagine if New York state is added to the roster of states granting civil equality. And you're really going to lag behind Connecticut?"
