the squirm patrol

i've been amazed and tickled over the last few days, watching republican pundits and representatives try to defend the choice of sarah palin as mccain's vp nominee. the phrase "grasping at straws" comes to mind.

check out these two fascinating (and brutal) interviews:
bachmann, you might recall, was the loon who said we don't need to "save the planet" from climate change because, "we all know that someone did that over 2,000 years ago, they saved the planet -- we didn't need nancy pelosi to do that."

(if you crave more from crazytown bachmann, she hung around last night for the panel discussion, which included a few choice zingers from comedian stephanie miller.)

  1. That surprises me, since Campbell Brown (probably my least favorite newscaster since her Italian food segment on THE TODAY SHOW where she said, "Man-gee-a, man-gee-a, man-gee-a!) is married to a GOP operative, I mean Fox News correspondent.
