"The more the New York Times and The Washington Post go after Sarah Palin, the better off she is, because there's a bigger truth out there and the bigger truths are she's new, she's popular in Alaska and she is an insurgent... As long as those are out there, these little facts don't really matter."– John Feehery, Republican strategist
little facts, or as some of us like to call them, lies. like the bridge to nowhere lie. the obama will raise your taxes lie. the my running mate is against pork-barrel spending lie. the i sold that plane on ebay lie. the i fired the personal chef lie.
the post has them all laid out pretty well right here.

I'm sure you know about this, but I heard about it recently on NPR - www.politifact.com.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great source for finding out which statements are thruths and which are lies - and where they lie in between.
For example, Palin's quip about putting the jet on ebay is true, though in the end they sold it off-line.
although palin seems to be careful about saying "PUT it on ebay", mccain has said "she sold it on ebay."
ReplyDeleteeven with palin, the suggestion is, of course, that she sold it on ebay. which is not true. am i being picky? yep. if she were talking about taxes, or civil rights, or torture should we be picky? i think.
well put.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone should leave Palin alone. She's just a woman.... I mean, ummm.... wait what I meant was if she had her period at the time she might not have remembered.... wait, that came out wrong... ummm... I love my mom!
