a sentencing date of december 5th has been set. simpson will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.it was 13 years ago to the day that a los angeles jury acquitted him of the murders of his ex-wife nicole brown simpson and her friend ronald goldman.
how do you feel about this? didn't opinions about the original murder trial fall mainly along racial lines? do you remember the trial? johnny cochran. that surfer guy with the hair who now shows up on entertainment shows. marsha whats-her-name. the gloves.
it was all 13 years ago. and in 30 days or so, we may elect our countries first african-american president. does this mean...what? we've come a long way?
when this verdict was read in a las vegas courtroom tonight, simpson shifted and looked up with a bit of a smirk. sort of a knowing smirk.
what was he thinking?
My guess he was thinking, "I'm f#%*ed." And he is. The 13-years-to-the-day thing is just plain eerie.

ReplyDeleteKharma's a bitch, ain't it? I think it's REALLY creepy that it happened on his 13-year anniversary of getting away with murder. That's not fair, but it looks good on paper. :-)

at a dinner party in bel air (i lived on this bitch's property and worked dinner parties for the bitch - did i say she was a bitch?)a few years ago. the FIRST lawyer that OJ called after having been arrested...this lawyer was telling a story at dinner.
H. (as the lawyer will be known as) had been a long-time friend of OJ's. the first thing H. asked OJ was, 'we go back a long way and before i say i'll represent you, i have to ask you - did you do it?' OJ told H., 'yes'. and H. said he couldn't take the case.
i swear.
